ESSENTIAL CARE
- First and foremost, never pick!
- Premature peeling may damage skin and cause hyperpigmentation.
- Avoid the sun!
- Avoid sun exposure for at least two weeks, wear a hat and SPF every day.
- Even simple exposure like walking across the parking lot can have a deleterious effect.
- Avoid heat!
- Being outside in the shade can have possible adverse effects too and excess heat can be too stimulating.
- Do not do vigorous exercise!
- Overstimulation and heat will flush the skin and increase the intensity of the peel.
- It can also cause light-headedness.
- Do not wear a tight headband, hat or glasses that press heavily on the nose.
- Do not be “that person” who went roller skating in the evening with their glasses on and developed two large holes on each side of their nose which took months to heal.
- Avoid holding the phone over your ear for a long period of time.
- Do not have tape, bandages or hot compresses applied to treated areas.
- Avoid steam baths, saunas and hot showers for the first three days.
- Avoid swimming for 48 hours in chlorinated water, chlorine is a skin irritant.
- Do not use any topicals other than directed.
- Adverse reaction to an unknown ingredient may occur.
- Avoid excessive alcohol consumption.
- Avoid smoking.
- Watch out for whisker burns.
- You can resume wearing jewelry when the skin is completely healed.
- Read, sign and make sure you understand your home-care instructions.
- Return for your assessment in 7-14 days.
- As always, call, text, email or send a crow with any question(s) or concern(s) you may have, they are all important.
Cheers to your beautiful skin!
