MICROBLADING POST CARE
- Do not touch your brows with unclean hands because this can lead to loss of color, cause infection, and scarring.
- Sleep with a clean pillowcase during the healing process.
- You may elevate your head to alleviate any swelling.
- No makeup should be applied directly on your brows during the healing process.
- Avoid wetting your eyebrows during the healing process.
- If your eyebrows get wet during the healing process pat them dry with a clean towel; do not rub.
- No brow tinting, intense exercise, hot yoga, sun exposure, sitting in jacuzzis, and/or swimming in chlorine pools or the ocean until healed.
- Do not touch, rub, pick, or scratch your brows following your procedure or during the healing process.
- Your eyebrows may scab slightly or become dried out following your procedure.
- If they itch, do not scratch them, please, just tap them to release the itch.
- A healing product will be prescribed at your appointment.
- Only apply the healing product as directed
- Use a cotton swab with warm water only to gently cleanse your brows, by dabbing the cotton swab across your brows with mild pressure.
- If you experience any abnormal swelling, blistering, or any other complications post procedure, stop using any post care product, and contact the office immediately.
- Remember, all procedures must heal, peel, and fade.
- Your color will look much darker for the first 3-6 days as your brows may have blood and lymph in them.
- After the procedure area has peeled and healed, the color will become much softer.
- There will be a brief period when the brows seem to “disappear” this is normal.
- The color will begin to settle into the brow area and be softer and lighter than the first week of healing.
- For your safety, any additional sessions should not be performed for a minimum of four weeks.
- These are basic post care instructions. Specific instructions will be provided to you at your appointment.
- Failure to follow all written and verbal instructions will interfere with achieving your best final result.
BEYOND HEALING
- Avoid using daily skincare products directly on your eyebrows.
- Use of products that contain Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs), vitamin A1 (retinol), or similar will fade your pigment color prematurely.
- LATISSE® and other growth products may lighten the pigment as well.
- If you are due to have an MRI scan, inform the doctor that you have had semi-permanent tattooing on your eyebrows.
- If you are planning a chemical peel or any other facial or medical procedures, please inform the practitioner of your microblading. All post procedures should only be performed after your brows are healed.
- If you are planning on donating blood you must inform the center of your microblading per the American Red Cross.
- As always, call, text, or email with any question(s) or concern(s) you may have, they are all important.
